In addition to a pill reminder and a period tracker that lets you use emojis to document your mood swings, my Pill has a message board where, once you log in through email or Facebook and create a username, you can ask fellow period-havers questions. Answers, but all the questions and answers are coming from young women using contraceptives for the first time.(We blurred the faces and usernames in the following photos because my Pill users are, ostensibly, teenagers.)The majority of questions concern all the doomsday, “what if?
” pregnancy scenarios that run through your mind every time your period is over an hour late (or not—maybe you are a “chill” person—I don’t know).
However, even among Christians, there are differences as to whether you should or should not date.
The choice is up to you and your parents, but Christian teens should still know God’s perspective on dating.
All of it revolved around the flimsy premise that women “had a type” and that they were basically computers that could be hacked. The fact that you’re trying to trick them into liking you kinda says a lot about why they don’t like you. I was goofy, I was sarcastic, I wore horrible clothes, I paid no attention to my hair or my hygiene, and I was overly obsessed with movies. It would be like wearing someone else’s clothes: they wouldn’t fit and people would notice.
But now, at the end of my 20s, I’m beginning to realize that the reason I wasn’t lucky was because I was operating off of terrible, skeezy, sometimes even misogynistic advice. “Be yourself” might not get you anywhere in your teens.so stressed out right now [monkey emoji].”To be honest, IDK if that’s normal. This kind of soothing advice is not limited to pregnancy scares. Engaging in this kind of communal catharsis, for teen girls, is necessary. Sure, you could write about your pregnancy fears in a diary or a You Tube comment or on Reddit (lol—JK), but what’s a better sanctuary than a pay-to-play period tracking app? Non-Christians have a different perspective on dating. You see the magazines, TV shows, and movies that tell you how you’re young, and you should date a lot of people before you get married.“Took yesterday’s pill 10 hours late and now I’m spotting, it’s normal right? “Also about 12 days ago I took a pill 12 hours late, could this have anything to do with the spotting?
